Braided flexible hoses
A braid of AISI 304 stainless wire prevents elongation and raises the working pressure; 1–3 layers.
Why a braid
Unbraided corrugated hoses tend to elongate when operated above a certain pressure. To prevent this, a braid of AISI 304 (1.4301) stainless steel wire is placed over the hose.
The braid prevents axial expansion, increases resistance to internal pressure and follows the movement of the hose. For higher pressures two or three braid layers are used.
For braided hoses the bending angle at installation must not exceed 45°.
